Recipe of the day Apple cinnamon protein donuts
These delicious apple and cinnamon donuts are soft and moist.

Ingredients:
- ½ cup wholemeal flour
- 1 scoop of cinnamon or vanilla flavored protein powder
- ¼ cup stevia powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup unsweetened apple pulp
- ¼ cup low-fat quark
- 1 E
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tablespoon honi
- 1 cup diced apples
- 2 tablespoons coconut butter
- vanilla flavoring
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Mix flour, stevia powder, cinnamon and baking powder in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, mix the apple puree, low-fat quark, egg, almond milk, honey and vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Fold the apple pieces into the batter.
- Spray a donut tray with baking spray and bake the donuts for 10 minutes, or until no more batter sticks to a knife inserted into the donuts when you pull them out.
- Leave the donuts to cool completely. Place cinnamon and coconut butter in a small plastic breakfast bag. Cut off one corner of the bag and squeeze the mixture evenly over the donuts.
