Dietary proteins are a source of nitrogen and essential amino acids that the body needs to maintain and grow body tissue, maintain muscle mass and maintain normal bones*. Whey Protein Professional is a so-called complete protein, as it provides the body with the necessary amino acids, including the 9 amino acids that cannot be synthesized by the body and must be taken in through food (i.e. histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, valine). The 100% Whey Protein Professional has even more added ingredients: an "amino acid matrix" which provides extra amino acids, as well as L-leucine, L-glutamine and taurine. L-glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in the human body.
