BCAA Complex with a 3:1:1 Ratio and Glutamine

The Stacker2 Essential Aminos are divided into three clearly separated complexes. The pharmaceutical-grade L-glutamine complex is the largest single component at 5720 mg. Glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in human muscle tissue and is drawn on more heavily during phases of intense physical exertion.

The instantized BCAA complex delivers 4440 mg of branched-chain amino acids in a 3:1:1 ratio. L-leucine takes the largest share at 2640 mg, followed by L-isoleucine and L-valine at 900 mg each. The third complex contains the remaining essential amino acids L-lysine, L-methionine, L-phenylalanine, L-threonine, and L-tryptophan at 168 mg each.

Recommended Use

The manufacturer recommends mixing 1 scoop (16 g) into 250 ml of cold water and drinking it before, during, or after training. On non-training days, one serving can be taken between meals.

Gigas Nutrition tip: If you are looking for a complete EAA profile with all 9 amino acids including histidine alongside the strong glutamine share of the Essential Aminos, you can add our EAA Xtreme from GN Laboratories. Together, the two products optimally cover both your glutamine and EAA supply.

Frequently asked questions about Essential Aminos

Does Stacker2 Essential Aminos contain all 9 essential amino acids?

The product contains 8 essential amino acids plus L-glutamine. L-histidine is not listed separately in the formula. Anyone who values all 9 EAAs should take this into account when selecting a product.

Why is the glutamine content so high?

Stacker2 deliberately uses a high glutamine dosage of 5720 mg. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue and is subject to increased stress during physical exertion. The high dosage is aimed at athletes who do not wish to supplement glutamine separately.

What does the 3:1:1 BCAA ratio mean?

The 3:1:1 ratio refers to the distribution of the three BCAAs: three parts L-leucine, one part each of L-isoleucine and L-valine. With 2640 mg L-leucine, Stacker2 relies on a slightly higher leucine content compared to the classic 2:1:1 standard.
