What makes this citrulline malate powder stand out from the crowd

NanoPure® is the premium line from GN Laboratories. The philosophy behind it: only the ingredient, nothing else. What's on the label is what's inside and nothing else.

L-citrulline malate in a 2:1 ratio means: one part malic acid for every two parts amino acid. This ratio is established in sports nutrition and is used in numerous studies. ¹⁾²⁾In a 6 g serving, the powder therefore provides around 4 g of pure amino acid and 2 g of malic acid.

Many of these products on the market contain anti-caking agents such as silicon dioxide or magnesium stearate. NanoPure® deliberately dispenses with these.

The result: a powder consisting exclusively of L-citrulline malate.

Citrulline malate as a supplement - briefly explained

L-citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that was first discovered in watermelons, hence the name (Latin: citrullus = watermelon). In the body it is converted to L-arginine. L-arginine is in turn involved in nitric oxide metabolism, which plays a role in blood circulation and oxygen supply to the muscles, among other things.

Malic acid is a natural component of the citrate cycle and is found in apples, among other things. The combination of both substances, i.e. L-citrulline malate powder, is one of the most popular ingredients in modern pre-workout formulas.

Its use as a single supplement is particularly widespread in bodybuilding and strength training. Athletes who value their training performance and efficiency appreciate the amino acid as a targeted supplement before intensive training sessions.

What is the difference between L-citrulline and L-citrulline malate?

Pure L-citrulline consists exclusively of the amino acid. The malate variant combines the amino acid with malic acid, typically in a 2:1 ratio. Both forms are being investigated in studies. The choice depends on personal preference. The latter is the more commonly used form in supplements.

One can with 500 g of pure powder

With a daily intake of 6 g, one can of NanoPure® Citrulline Malate is sufficient for over 80 servings. That is just under three months of daily intake. If you prefer higher quantities, you will need fewer portions.

  • At 6 g per day: approx. 83 servings (~2.5 months)
  • At 8 g per day: approx. 62 portions (~2 months)
  • Flexible dosage: quantity can be individually adjusted

The tasteless powder dissolves easily in water and can be easily combined with other supplements, for example with L-arginine, EAA or a pre-workout booster. This is a particular advantage for athletes who put together their own supply for strength training.

Who is this product suitable for?

  • Strength athletes and bodybuilders: Citrulline malate is popular as a pump supplement in strength training. If you want to supplement your training and muscle building in a targeted way, you will find a pure single ingredient here without any superfluous additives.
  • Endurance athletes: Runners, cyclists and CrossFit athletes also rely on the supplement as part of their supplement routine. It is a valued supplement for endurance, especially before long training sessions.
  • Athletes on a diet: During a calorie-reduced phase, many athletes rely on individual supplements instead of high-calorie combination supplements. The powder contains no calories from sweeteners or flavorings.
  • Purists and self-mixers: If you put together your own supplements and pay attention to purity, this is exactly what you get: one ingredient, no extras. It can be combined with other amino acids or strength supplements at any time.
