What does 200 mesh mean?

The 200 mesh specification describes how finely the creatine monohydrate is ground. It refers to particle size, not the amount of creatine per serving. The chemical form remains unchanged.

Fine powder particles can disperse in a drink. Dispersing and dissolving completely are not the same thing.1

Mixing creatine powder into water or a shake

Stir the measured serving thoroughly into your drink.

What affects solubility?

Creatine monohydrate has limited solubility in water. Some powder may therefore remain visible in cold liquid; warmer liquid makes it easier to dissolve.

Stir again before drinking. If powder remains at the bottom of the glass, add a little water, swirl the glass and drink the rest.1

How does creatine support physical performance?

Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine. This product is intended for adults performing high intensity exercise.2

Creatine as powder or capsules?

Powder suits you if you want to stir creatine into a drink. You measure out the serving and need a glass or shaker. Capsules require no mixing; how many make up a daily serving depends on the product.

Want to compare both forms? Our creatine monohydrate range includes powder and capsules. Compare the amount per daily serving, rather than just the pack size.

Frequently asked questions about use and composition

Do I need a loading phase?

No. A loading phase is not required when taking creatine monohydrate. Stick to the recommended daily serving of 5 g.³

Should I also take the powder on rest days?

Yes. Daily use also includes days without training. Choose a regular time that is easy to maintain in your routine.

How do I measure the daily serving accurately?

Weigh the recommended daily serving of 5 g using a suitable precision scale. The directions refer to one measuring scoop. An ordinary teaspoon is not a reliable substitute, because spoon sizes and filling levels vary.

Is this creatine Creapure®?

No. The creatine monohydrate in this product is branded NanoPure®. Creapure® is a different brand. The 200 mesh specification refers to particle size.

What is the difference between creatine and creatine monohydrate?

Creatine monohydrate consists of creatine and bound water. One serving contains 5 g of this monohydrate, not 5 g of anhydrous creatine. Monohydrate is the most extensively studied form of creatine used in food supplements.³
