The EAA-TST from Peak Performance Products provides all essential amino acids in a formula that is based on the official intake recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO). The name TST stands for Total Solution Technology and describes the special dosage form: free amino acids which, according to the manufacturer, reach the blood pool just 10 minutes after ingestion. Per 14 g serving, the product provides over 10,400 mg of amino acids with a BCAA content of almost 49 %.

WHO-based amino acid profile with tyrosine

Many EAA products rely on in-house formulations without a standardized basis. EAA-TST takes a different approach and is based on the WHO amino acid pattern. This means that the ratios of the individual amino acids to each other correspond to the scientifically recommended requirement profile. In addition to the 8 classic essential amino acids, the formula also contains L-histidine and L-cysteine, which are classified as conditionally essential by the WHO. In addition, L-tyrosine has been included, which plays an important role in the metabolism as a starting material for the synthesis of catecholamines and thyroid hormones.

Rapid absorption thanks to Total Solution Technology

Unlike protein powder, the free amino acids in EAA-TST do not have to be digested first. According to the manufacturer, they reach the blood pool and extracellular tissue after around 10 minutes thanks to Total Solution Technology. This makes EAA-TST particularly interesting as a training drink, as the amino acids are available directly before or during training without burdening the stomach. With only 14 g of powder per serving, the caloric load is minimal, which also makes the product suitable for use during a diet phase.

Recommended intake

The manufacturer recommends dissolving 2 scoops (14 g) in 500 ml of water and drinking shortly before, during or after training on an empty stomach. According to Peak Performance, athletes under 70 kg can usually manage with just one serving, while the amount can be adjusted accordingly for higher body weights.
