Mars
Mars Incorporated was founded in 1911 by Frank C. Mars. At the beginning of his career, the company founder made the first sweets in his own kitchen. Today, Mars has a market value of over 28 billion dollars and is one of the world's 10 largest food manufacturers with 85,000 employees and over 34 brands available virtually everywhere in the world.
While Mars has historically been best known for candy bars and other sweets that are not generally considered particularly healthy, the company began launching sports supplements several years ago. This started with protein powder products with flavors reminiscent of classic chocolate bars and candies from the main range such as Mars, Bounty, Snickers, Maltesers, etc.. Soon after, Mars launched a wide range of protein bars, which are higher protein, lower sugar and lower calorie versions of the classic Mars chocolate bars.
There is now a wide range of protein bars, with different variations and flavors, some of which even go beyond the range of their original products. For example, there are already 5 different variants of Snickers protein bars, ranging from the classic Snickers flavor to Peanut Butter and White Chocolate. Mars sports supplements are aimed at bodybuilders, athletes and health-conscious people who want to eat a healthy, protein-rich diet but don't want to do without the taste of classic chocolate bars and snacks.
