Fadogia Agrestis is a short bush plant that is mainly native to Nigeria, but is also found in western Africa as far as Ghana and as far east as Sudan (3). It is traditionally used there mainly for its apparently antipyretic properties. However, it is also used as an aphrodisiac herb and to treat erectile dysfunction (4). According to scientific studies, the potency-enhancing aspect could come from a testosterone boost that may be associated with taking Fadogia Agrestis. Researchers came to this conclusion based on a series of studies conducted at the Medicinal Plants Research Laboratory in Nigeria (5). In these studies, the effect of the plant on mammals was examined and a significant increase in testosterone levels was found (5,6).

Increased test osterone levels are associated with a number of potential benefits. It is probably the best known androgenic hormone and is essential for a variety of processes in the human body. Testosterone has a stimulating effect on hair follicles, which can lead to the production of longer, thicker and more pigmented hair (7). It also helps to support bone formation. During puberty, increasing testosterone levels correlate with increased bone growth. This is because higher testosterone levels lead to increased calcium deposition in the bones and the stimulation of osteoblasts, which are responsible for bone formation (8). In athletes, especially bodybuilders of course, testosterone is primarily known for its anabolic effect (9). It promotes the hypertrophy of muscle fibers and stimulates the proliferation of satellite cells in the muscles (10). In addition, testosterone promotes the formation of pluripotent stem cells, which can form satellite cells and myoblasts, and inhibits the differentiation of adipocytes (11). High testosterone levels also promote the formation of erythrocytes and their iron uptake, which can lead to an increase in muscle mass and hemoglobin levels and thus increase physical performance in sports (12). However, the influence of testosterone does not stop at the physical level; it also has a decisive effect on the psyche. Fluctuations in testosterone levels could lead to a decrease in mental performance and impair well-being in test subjects in one study (13). A widespread consequence of low testosterone levels is also a decrease in libido, which has also been proven in the study setting (14).

If you consider all these influences of testosterone, you quickly realize why many active ingredients from traditional medicine can be scientifically proven to have a direct or indirect influence on testosterone levels. Many medicinal plants are said to increase well-being or help with aspects that can subsequently be linked to low testosterone levels (14,15,16). More and more studies are being published that provide a clearer picture of the mode of action of various ingredients that have been used by humans for thousands of years. Fadogia Agrestis is one of these ingredients and GN - Laboratories delivers it to you in its purest form. With just one capsule a day you can benefit from all the effects of the African bush herb. Fadogia Agrestis from GN Laboratories - because in the end only results count.
