What is B.A.M. EGCG?

B.A.M. EGCG is one of the highest quality green tea extracts you will find on the market. This extract is characterized by a particularly high content of 50% polyphenols, which also includes the polyphenol EGCG, to which the most positive effects of green tea are attributed.

Green tea has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese and Asian medicine for its countless health benefits. Green tea differs from black tea in that it is not fermented. Because of this it is especially rich in healthy natural polyphenols, that are destroyed during the fermentation of black tea. In addition, green tea is rich in important trace minerals and vitamins, including iron, fluorine, zinc, chromium, manganese, vitamin C, vitamin A and vitamin B complex vitamins. Green tea is known primarily for its myriad health benefits and its positive effects on fat loss during a diet, but it also has a host of other benefits that will positively impact your workouts and your performance.

B.A.M. EGCG can increase your training endurance (1) by several different mechanisms. These include an increase in VO2max during exercise (2) and increased use of fatty acids for fuel during exercise (3). The latter will spare the glycogen reserves of your muscles and will allow you longer and more intense workouts.

Since our green tea extract has strong antioxidant effects that are 100 to 200 times stronger than the corresponding effects of vitamin C and E, it can protect your muscle cells from being damaged by aggressive free radicals that are inevitably produced in large quantities during exercise. In addition, green tea has pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties and can block an enzyme responsible for the breakdown of articular cartilage. This can protect your joints during hard exercise sessions and will allow you painless workouts, if you suffer from existing joint problems.
